I just purchased this beat up old snare on ebay. Mostly, just as a piece to clean up and put on a shelf for decoration. I'm having trouble identifying it. The seller doesn't know much other than it was picked up at an estate sale. He's identified it as a Leedy, but I don't see any badges. It looks there might be a name engraved in one of the metal hoops, but I can't make it out (potentially leedy). Does anybody have a clue what this may be?

Thanks in advance!

Cool drum...all cleaned up should make a great mantle piece.

Thanks, any idea what it might be? The tension rods don't look like any of the pre-war Leedy snares I've seen.

The mark on the top hoop is definitely the circular Leedy logo. They had some of the best logo designs IMO.

That is a neat old drum. It would be a nice addition to anyone's collection. Congratulations.

That`s a early 20`s logo. You may find a trademark wood burned into the inside of the shell. What`s that finish ? It looks like fabric or leather !i

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!
