Vintage Ludwig Club Date Bass Drum Spurs Last viewed: 20 hours ago

Would anyone happen to know if Ludwig still offers the straight bass drum spurs that were issued on their '60s Club Date kits?

Thanks in advance for your time and your help.

Probably not..But you can easily pick some up from Danmar, Gibraltar, or even make some home made ones with same diameter steel rods from your local hardware shop..Danmar makes the clamp on spurs that you attach to the hoop and work great.. Gibraltar has the lightweight disappearing ones like on the club dates, but they're longer..Makes no difference, since they'll be hidden in the bass drum shell anyway.. DW makes some that attach to the hoop as well.. Aesthetically they do not look vintage, but are super solid.. Hope this helps !

cheers,

Rob

You are correct in that Ludwig doesn't offer the "disappearing spurs" anymore, but the choices you suggested are not really even close to what the OP is looking for.

See the pic below, this is the style the OP is looking for.

The closest I found are the ones Grestch offers on their Broadkaster series of drums. Probably the closest you will find aside from an original Ludwig set.
