Those aren't Ludwigs. Not even close. Also, those are ready for a dumpster...

From SINISTER

so do you want to buy them...

Sinister - What you have there are vertical grain, made in Japan drums and they are in -very bad- shape. A nice 60's MIJ Luan shell kit like that one in excellent condition, with original wrap and hardware, might fetch $350 to $450. fair market value. But drummers have a nickname for drums like the ones in the photos... Asian Fire Wood!

Use them as beaters if nothing else. But don't sink another penny into them.

Welcome to VDF!

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Your ser of the three drums is a Crown set made in the 70's..Crown was the only M.I.J. sets in the 60's-70's to have 8 lugs per a side on the toms and 10 olugs on the bass drum.Mikey

I collect and restore some MIJ kits, and personally I'd strip off the hardware and try to clean up the salvageable stuff. The Ludwig bits might bring a few bucks, and possibly even the MIJ lugs as a set. The shells I wouldn't waist a second on, other than maybe just a beater kit. :2Cents:

Sinister,

Don't listen to these nay-sayers! Those wrecks aren't ready for the dumpster or firewood pile yet. I had a similar MIJ luan stencil kit with completely rusted and pitted hardware along with mutilated wrap. What to do? I sanded, primed, and painted all the hardware flat black and wrapped the shells in camo fabric. With Ebony Ambassadors on all drums and an Evans Mesh front head on the bass, they sound... uhm... "interesting". But boy do they get praise from all my military buddies!

I think we can safely say since the OP hasn't posted a reply in 7 days that this was just another hit and run.
