Vintage Ludwig year I.D. help! Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Can anyone help me identify this vinatge Ludwig kit from these shiddy, SHIDDY pic's that the owner sent me? To me they look like vintage 60's from the white interior, but I'm not an expert. The owner said that the are only 15 years old but I tend to disagree...

Any info would help. Yeah I know that I'm asking alot from these pic's so try your best...

Thanks

Troy

From those pics, I'd say more like "impossible" to tell.

I do tend to agree that they don't look only 15 years old...

Sorry, can't help any more than that...

68 was the transition year from resacote to clear maple interiors.

So is it safe to say that these are no newer than 68?

guessing between 64 and 68. white interiors 61 through fall of 68. If the baseball bat mufflers are still in the toms.. you would see red felt up to 63. changing to white felt in 64. Don't see any red under the heads.

ive documented hundreds of ludwig drums in the 64-65 transition era for several reasons. 64 drums still had red felt mufflers almost completely. red felts were even present up until the early spring of 65.

Yeah I've had that in the back of my mind the whole time....

Even so, isn't Ludwig the only Co. to use the white interior coating??
