I scored one of these (new in box no less!) on ebay last month. Mine was made by Dixie, but I think some American companies made very similar holders (Gretsch? Rogers?). It mounds onto a L-rod similar to an L-rod cymbal arm (albeit shorter) that clamps onto a stand.

Anyone have one of these or something similar? Let me know if you have 1 or more; I'd be interested in adding more of these or something similar to my collection.

Thanks!

I used one of those from about 1969 until 1992........still have it lying about somewhere. I now use a Rogers sticktray with the plastic tray.

Hey stallwart, if you find it, would you be interested in selling?

I'm not sure what a Rogers "sticktray" is. I have seen some on ebay that are similar to my pictures in this post, but instead of a metal tray, the tray was made of the same material that old fiber cases were made out of. Is that what you mean?

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Early Rogers were like a fibreboard........later ones (70's) were plastic.......

I just recently got a 60's one!.........

I MAY want to sell/trade it...........

Got anything cool vintage drum/cymbal wise to offer?

Thanks, blair. Is it a metal tray?

As far as things to offer for trade................I'm afraid I don't have a huge backlog of parts like a lot of folks on this forum. The vintage stuff I do have I am actively using. So no real cool vintage barter material from me. Let me know what kind it is (metal, plastic etc) and we can work something out. A picture would be even better.

Thanks,

V

Mine is the fibreboard...........

Not even sure if I want to sell..........hard to find!

Let me think on it.........

I think the plastic version isn't nearly as nice......
