Vintage original SRC set of rogers drums "holiday" 4pcs Kit RARE Last viewed: 6 hours ago

The set of rogers is a "holiday" model set . Which was produced in the early 60s in Dayton Ohio includes no hard ware other then the base drum peddle. There is one more floor tom then what is pictured but no snare drum and never had a second tom ..no major damage but a few cracks in the skin which is original skin thus making it more valuable. They do need a bit of restoration and have some small rust spots but nothing major .. but for for how old they are they are VERY rare i am taking offers at the current time , i really don't want to sell them after finding out how rare they are but i don't play them and i rather them go to some one that can restore them and make my dad who passed away proud he was the drummer of SRC included is a picture of him and the set. let me know , Dave = i will sign a letter of authenticity ! thus being his son

BEST OFFER TAKES THEM...

If you're E.G. Clawson's son... first, I'm sorry to hear about your dad passing on. Next, you really need to 'un-pile' those drums (so no further damage to the wrap occurs,) in order to keep them in as good condition as possible.

You also might consider cleaning them up and playing them. Your dad's band was one of the pioneers of 'psychedelic rock' in the 60's. There's some serious history and mojo connected to that kit. Not for anything, but, if they were -my- dad's drums, I'd sell the clothes off my back before I'd sell his drum kit. You may regret this later. Think about it long and hard. You might want to pass these on to your own son in the future. You just never know.

But, if you really (really) need to sell them, tell people who your dad was and more about the band. Post a bio of him and of the band. It'll help to get them into a good home where they will be appreciated and hopefully, played. I'm rooting for some old, hippie drummer getting them. Someone who can really appreciate their history.

E.G., R.I.P.

Best of luck with your sale.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

I vote to keep them. I am restoring my dads kit and I wouldn't sell them for any amount of money. They were my grandfathers passed to him that will be passed to me to be passed to my kids. I find the sentimental value there indescribable. You should consider keeping them. No one will appreciate them more than you his son.
