I`ve seen this one on Coopers web pages before. This one has the engraved curl before the S in Slingerland going upward. I`ve seen the one`s with the curl going down as well.

This is not one of the missing one`s. I think the count was at 15.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

From Roserfwyo

We have one. What is the approximate value.

There is no way to 'approximate value' without having the benefit of prices that were realized for similar items in open auctions. That's usually how you determine current market value. Average out the last three 'sold for' prices and you know what people are willing to pay. With an item as unique as this snare drum, you'll need current value input from collector experts like, Mike Curotto, in Cali, or Steve Maxwell in N.Y. Any quotes you get here will be good guesses at best. You need to have a drum like that evaluated by an expert. It'll go over 3K I can tell you that. How much under, or over????????

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Rose,

Like Purdie says, you can determine a value using past sales but, if you get into a bidding war, it can go very well for you.

Slingy BB`s are the rarest of the rare, I read here that even though BB`s are around by Ludwig, who made batch after batch, Slingy ran them once and made less than 20 of them total. Why you wanna get rid of it is your business but most would kill to keep it.

These are so rare that members like Curotto, Maxwell and Cooper can prolly tell who once had them.

Where did it come from? How did you find it?

Last one I saw sold for over $12k, but it was impeccable! That was about 8 years ago.ExcitedExcited
