Vintage Slingerland drums Last viewed: 10 hours ago

Loading...

I inheritated my fathers drums, a partial Slingerland set and a full set of Rogers. I am trying to identify which type of lugs were the originals on the Slingerland snare. It currently has 2 types on it. The tube type which there are 4 of, look like they have been retrofitted, so I am guessing the streamline lugs could be the original type. Only one problem. From what I can find out, the streamline fastened though the hoop and did not use clamps? The snare has the brass cloud shaped tag and a Ludwig strainer?? Any help? Also it is a 7 x 14

Welcome! In a case like this pictures really help. Lots of very sharp drum guys here than can tell exactly what you have by a few good pictures. Top, bottom, inside (if you can get the heads off) and the outside. All angles.

mstrommen,

You must've done something wrong when uploading the pictures. Hit reply, scroll down to 'Manage Attachments', browse for the file, then upload the picture. It's real easy.

Good luck.

I've tried everything I know to attach pic's. I've downsized to get them under 1000 pix but don't know how to get under the 145kb. all the pic's are 240kb to 800kb.???

You could try Irfan View. It's freeware and from a safe site. You can resample pictures down to the nth degree. Just a suggestion, but that's what I use. I'm sure others have their own favorite resizing software.

Good luck again.

Here's a thread that goes through some photo sizing options that might help. http://vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=1713
