Hi everyone. I'm new here. I'm not very knowledgable about vintage drums but I was hoping to get some help with this set I'm thinking about purchasing this weekend. They are labelled as "Slingerland drums with some age" but the guy only bought the set for the cymbals and is reselling the kit for dirt cheap. I'll probably by it anyway, but I was hoping to figure out what they were. The pictures are terrible, I will post more if I buy them, but they appear to be made without any bottom heads ever being there. Does anybody know what they might be? Junky 80's drums? Thanks for the help in advance and I look forward to being on the board here with everybody!

What are the sizes ? also concert toms are not great for resale and have a certain sound and limitations.
I'm not sure of the sizes. I'm still waiting to hear back on that. I'm not really concerned about resale, I will put them in my studio and if they have a funky sound, maybe they'll be useful for some stuff. I also wouldn't mind having a kit to just bang on and practice. Please excuse my ignorance, but I assume concert toms are toms without the bottom heads?
Sorry yes your correct one sided head tom are called concert toms, think the sound of the 70's alot of them used back in that time. they are great sounding drums but not the most useful, as two sided head toms are If you can get them for the right price go for it.
Well, he wants $150 obo for the set so I figured I can't go wrong. I was just trying to find out more about them. I appreciate your help. I'll post more pictures of them if and when I buy them. I'm still waiting for a response from the guy. Thanks again!
The kit is Modern Combo 75N 9x13 9x10 14x16 14x18.
$150.00 go for it man! pretty rare drum kit.
Cheers Stevo.

That is a crazy insane deal! Those HHs could be some vintage As - 100 right there alone. That 18 BD makes it more valuable as well.

The cymbals are not included.
But, still a very good deal without them. I would do it sight unseen.
Thank you!

Thanks everyone for your input! I'm really excited about snagging this one if I can. I'll let you know how things turn out. I still haven't heard back from the guy, but we'll see. Hopefully I'll have the kit by the afternoon.
Wow, that kit looks cool! If it were near me, I'd jump on it, but then again I like concert toms. I'm looking for a set just like that. Good luck!
Even if you don't like them, I'm sure you could resell them and not loose a dime. In fact, I imagine you could make money on them.
Either way, good luck, and keep us posted!
