Vintage Tama double pedal Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

I have a Tama double pedal that came with an older used Swingstar kit. The design of the main pedal tower is different than I've ever seen before. I can tell the pedal is old but I'm not sure about the model. The pedal doesn't have the connecting arm or the slave pedal. I was wondering if anyone can help with dating this pedal or at least have an idea on the model. I am attaching two pictures of the pedal.

The upright looks Taiwanese, if it is tama its after they started using non Japanese parts, I have a probeat double from 84 and it looks way tougher than that.

I just bought a Pro-Beat Double, 1984 myself. It does look completely different. It hasn't even arrived yet. Would anyone know when Tama started using parts made in Taiwan? I know that everyone outsources nowadays but, was curious about when Tama started.
