@Kenwood: maybe all the other details about your snare drum could help us out here; strainer, butt end, hoops, etc.

Could you post pictures?

Hello Christian,

No. It definitely wasn't Tacton. I downloaded their catalogs from drumarchive.com and they've been ruled out for a while. The name of the company was similar to Tromsa but not actually Tromsa (I checked out those guys as well).

I inadvertently closed the page I was looking at which I found out of pure chance before bookmarking it.

DOH

Again, your input is much appreciated. Thank you!

Best regards,

Hello Bart,

Thanks for the input!

At least I know that these lugs are definitely not run of the mill parts.

Hi Christian,

Yes, that is the company - TROWA (East Germany) - and those are the lugs that I was looking at earlier. It's probably one of if not the closest design that I've seen thus far. Obviously, not a 100% match though.

I agree this is one of the toughest identifications that I've researched. Usually, someone here on VDF is able to help me out in these situations. So, at the very least, I know that the answer isn't so obvious.

As before, I thank you again for taking time to try to help me out.

Best regards,

Chris Gervais
