Hello Vintage Drum Forum,

I have a pair of Valje Drums (Qunito & Conga), which I purchase new in 1987. I believe I have the original receipt for that purchase. According to the post by Congalero and others these drums were hand made in S.F.

I checked the inside of the drums and there are hand stamped and hand written information reflecting the S.F. shop address, date produced (January & March 1986), and model numbers (C1127/JC1128).

All the original hardware is in tact. The Conga still has the original head and it still looks and sound "GREAT." I discovered this information regarding my drums because I was changing out the head on the Qunito because the skin was breaking. Upon discovering this information, I looked online and came across your website.

How should I get my drums appraised and by whom? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time and energy.

Dr. Sheldon
