Why do people remove badges from drums and do'nt put them back on right, or sometimes not at all?

In my humble opinion, I don't think the drum is worth very much more than the bid that it currently has. I guess if someone was finishing a kit and needed the snare, it would go for more. It's not a Buddy Rich model '58 snare, as it's only a 6 lug model.

Am I wrong on this?

Yeah 6 lugs are not as desirable as 8 for sure.
