Vistalite Amber serial numbers Last viewed: 22 hours ago

I bought a set of Amber Vistalite Bonham size drums in the early 70's,

from a music store in Arizona----serial numbers are --Bass---1084535,

18" floor tom---1084079, 14" mounted tom--1084022, 13" mounted tom--1084026----

I can't seem to be able to match these serial numbers with corresponding known serial numbers so I can pinpoint the exact year they were made----can anyone help with this?

I think I bought them in 1974 or 1975

Also, the bass drum spurs will be the fatter 1/2" if they are from about 76 or so and later. If they are the smaller diameter spurs (5/16"), it would suggest that they are earlier. Bonham started playing these in about 74 or 75 right??

bonham played a set of amber vistas at the '73 Madison Square Garden concert(song remains the same). i think that was the first or second year they started making them.

Thanks-----they do have the tone control knobs or muffling knobs,

and I know I did not buy them in 1976 or later, and they have the thinner

base spurs, so it looks like they are 1975 vintage----

I would bet they are about 74 to 75 then. Do you have an photos you can add? We'd all love to see 'em!!!
