Mike. Bonham even told Carmine he stole his triplet run from him, It floored Carmine when Bonham told him this.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

very cool, I was lucky enough to see them both in this period and early on Carmine was the bomb but over the years John really developed his own style and to this day I love them both... thanks for sharing that...

Thanks a ton for sharing Mike T.....phenomenal footage and I didn't know this. I'm still standing back in awe. I love John and Carmine. Carmine had such a unique style and looked soooo cool playing. Also, Mike I'm very envious......you saw them both. I have been to so many shows in my life. At least my excuse is that I'm 42 and didn't really have a choice to ever see either of them live. Thanks again for the lesson. That's why this forum rocks!!!!Walking

Then you'd envy me also .I saw the real Zep 6 times ,and The Fudge 2 times and Beck Bogert and Appice once. Both Bonham and Appice were powerhouse drummers live.Crazy fills, stick twirls(which Bonzo did often in the early days.),which Carmine still does.Just look at his unorthodox right handed grip.

The first time I saw Zep,I was no more than 15 feet from Bonzo. Those were the days.Late 60's, early to mid 70's.
