Wanted - 70's Pearl blue oyster pearl drums Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Hi fellow drummers,

I am looking for a few 1970's era Pearl drums in the blue oyster pearl finish. I have a 1975 wood-fiberglass Pearl set that I am trying to add a few pieces to. In particular I'm looking for a 14"x22" bass drum, and maybe a ride tom. I don't believe Pearl made 10", 15" or 16" ride toms in those days. I already have 12/13/14" ride toms, but I could use another ride tom to make two on each bass. (Assuming that I can find that ever-elusive matching second bass drum!) I have seen a handful of them here and there on CL and eBay, but all the ones I have seen have been in pretty bad shape.

If any of you have anything like this for sale, or know of a source, please let me know. Thanks and keep on rockin' my friends!

Do you want them with the Slingerland copy lugs or the President Diamond Facet lugs? Is an all wood shell OK?

Hi,

Thanks for writing. I believe what I have is after the early President style. I didn't think they were Slingerland style but I could be wrong about what that really looks like. Do you have a pic of them?

As for the shell, I am partial to W/FG shells but if I can get matching pieces that are all wood instead I would be interested in that also. I am not having much luck finding much of anything by Pearl in this color, so I may not be able to be too picky on the shell composition.

LOL well I sure don't have a need for a whole set! Can you send a couple of pics of what you have? If you have the right size pieces and are willing to part with a couple of them that might work if they are a decent match to what I already have. Where are you located BTW? Thanks.

Keep on Rockin!!
