Wanted: Late 60's/Early 70's Gretsch Floor Tom Leg Mount Last viewed: 21 hours ago

Yep, I did it. CryBaby I over tightened one of the two bolts that hold the FT leg mount to the shell and snapped the small threaded extension.

I might try to work some type of repair, but I am checking to see if anyone has a single late 60's/early 70's Gretsch floor tom leg mount they would sell. The other two mounts have some very light pitting, so I would be interested in seeing some pictures to find one that kind of matches.

Please let me know, because I don't want to have to go "paisley".

"Force it, if it breaks, it needed replaced anyways."

Thanks,

Tim

Thanks. I no longer need the floor tom leg mount. Since the threaded piece on the backside of the mount broke off flush, I was able to use a piece of threaded stock and JB Weld to re-attach it. I cleaned up the back of the mount, screwed in the threaded stock (with JB Weld), screwed on the piece that broke off (with JB Weld) and let it cure. Since the hole that accepts the hex bolt was not as deep, had I shorten the hex bolt. Everything is holding tight and should not break loose since the two pieces are joined by threads.

Thanks,

Tim
