Wanted:60's Ludwig Champagne Sparkle Last viewed: 9 hours ago

Hey everyone. I need to buy a 1960's Ludwig Champagne Sparkle. The sizes I would like are 22" bass 16" floor 13" tom. If a snare is included, that would be pretty nice as well. If anyone is selling one or knows of any for sale, let me know I would greatly appreciate it!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I know these aren't the sizes/style you're looking for, but I know where a late 60s Club Date set (20/14/12) in champagne sparkle is... just sitting in a garage with dust all over them. I've inspected them, they are missing a few minor parts (which I can supply) but for the most part just need a good cleaning. I shipped (UPS Standard Ground from KS to TX) a Club Date set a couple weeks back for less than $50.

The problem is I haven't been able to get the owner to part with them yet...

IF you (or anyone else for that matter) is interested, I'll keep trying. Let me know what you're willing to pay and I'll go from there.

Contact Ronn Dunnett in Ladner BC Canada.

He has a sixties Classic, with a matching snare. It's in great condition.

He wants $2000 for it.

He has a web site.

Good luck.

Well, I got the drums this evening, just got home. So, no pics until tomorrow or Saturday.

Hightlights of the "load:"

1966 (S/N 352637) Ludwig Club Date Champagne Sp 8x12 (Nickel hrdwr)

1966 (S/N 352618) Ludwig Club Date Champagne Sp 14x20 (Nickel)

1967 (S/N 483584) Ludwig Club Date Champagne SP 14x14 (Chrome, darn it!)

The FT was obviously added later, so it's not actually a "set."

(I do have nickel lugs and rims, however).

Nothing MAJOR wrong with the drums, basically needs a good cleaning and a few missing parts, most of which I already have. The BD hoops would need to be repainted.

Also got:

1965 (S/N 258291) Ludwig Classic Blue Sp 14x14 (Chrome hardware).

Missing some tension rods & bottom rim, and the seam isn't the greatest, but this one's in pretty good shape for being in a garage for years.

Also got some 60s MIJs & some assorted misc hardware.

Anybody interested shoot me a PM or an email. Not keeping any of this. I know some people like to do their own cleaning & fixing, others want it done before they buy. Makes no difference to me. If no deal develops on the forum, it'll all go on eBay...
