Hello,

I have a Slingerland 12, 13, 16 set from the 70s. I'm looking to replace the clear evans it came with. I have added the resos with ludwig weathermaster meduims. I was wondering about trying medium weathermasters with or without the silver dot for new batters. Any thoughts?

I like silver dots. I find that dot heads are a happy medium between one and two ply heads. Not as much attack as a single ply head and more "round" sounding like a two ply. I especially like them on my Vistas. I'd like to try some coated dot heads on one of my wood sets.
