thanks Oldschool, Myself and a few other wfl Br super classic owners have noted how many are generally towards 6" than 5 1/2" If I'm answering this wrong and you already know the answer the metal round piece is a bass drum mounted cymbal holder!

Thanks for your input. I'm aware of the fact that the piece is a mount for a cymbal L-arm. What I'm trying to determine is whether it's an original WFL piece from the same era as the kit. As I previously mentioned, I can't seem to find it any catalog.

Oldschool, yeah that's what I thought!, your right I just went thru all my WFL catalogs, there is no picture of the mount on a bass drum or even in the parts section of the catalogs! hey we know they exist and it is factory, I just don't know the year it was Introduced as you are confused about it also!!
