WFL parts identification Last viewed: 9 minutes ago

Hi all, I'm trying to find out what these parts are. This is an old WFL snare circa 1930's. Is there a name / number for this strainer? Also, the strainer doesn't seem to have a throw off, just a knob to tension the snares. Is there a particular name for this type of lug too?

Here's a photo. Thanks in advance for any information.

Cool info Mike... I didn't know that those lugs were named P90, I knew them as simply WFL lugs!

Thanks buddyBowing

There are a couple other lugs that look close to those. So I'm not 100 percent sure by any means.

These aren't imperials for sure.

The imperial lug was first used when Ludwig and Wfl drums were separate companies. Ludwig used the imperial initially.

The lug referred to as "imperial" came on Ludwig and Ludwig snare drums. The drum pictured is a WFL. The strainer pictured, without a throw off lever, is usually found on marching drums.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I didn't buy the snare in the end. Somebody just beat me to it at the last minute. I was missing one of those lugs and in it's place was a bow-tie lug. I was hoping to find out the name of the lug so I could hunt one down, but doesn't matter anymore. It's still good to know. I like the look of those lugs. They look more Leedy than Ludwig to me. :)
