WFL Snare Drum Need Help Last viewed: 4 minutes ago

I tried but it wont let me I will as soon as I can get the pictures small enough to post them sorry.
That snare drum looks to me like a Ray McKinley model. Judging by that WMP pattern, the grey grommet around the badge and the muffler I would guess that snare drum could be 1948 possibly 1947. It should have a classic throw-off( the big one that has a large bottom and round know at the top with a lever). Since the drum looks like a 40's drum to me the butt plate should be big and extend out. The 50's version looked more like the butt on any current Ludwig snare drum. I think if you googe some 40's-50's WFLs you will see what I am talking about. Good luck!
I think this is FOR SURE a 40's drum(1947=NEW CLASSIC-1948-Ray McKinley)...the p-40(muffler),and silver badge grommet tell me this...i will check out my snares, because the butt plate on some of these drums are super classic... different from the WFL p-32 Butt ...i will try and post a picture...
Cheers,

P.S. I know one of my WFL drums has an S inside the shell too(WFL workers initial)...i think its the 26x14 Buddy Rich Bass Drum(lose,Silver Badge Grommet as well)...
