hello everybody,
first off let me say i have been playing percussion for over 20yrs and i have never owned a ludwig set so im sorry for that i do how ever have some dw's and a keller maple kit that i have made using a donor kit.
so with that said i was out side sanding on a 8" keller maple snare shell for refinishing and my smokin hot neighbor comes over and says she would like for me to look at her old kit that she had back in high school. she would like for me to spruce it up a bit so that she may donate it to the church. i told her until we can determine if these are worth restoring i wouldnt do anything to them. for all we know they could be a great set for a collector or a whatever and that if they are worth something then she could sell them and then buy a cheap newer set for the church... well sorry for the story but here is the pics of what i found.. the 12 inch tom has a black and white badge so that means from the rockers era but the 13" 16" snare and bass are older but no badges? the 13 and snare are single lugs meaning the top tension rod mounts into the same lug as the bottom tension rod and the 12 is not that way... the 12 has a white interior and no re-rings and the rest of the set has black interior with massive re-rings ?
is this thing a mutt or what?
well help me out guys cause i have no clue!
thanks
chris
