i've cleaned the wrap with a dusting mit then nanowax and spray detailer. they're slick like a waxed surface should be. i also reglued a couple seams that were lifting. i noticed a few small cracks on the floor tom and 12" tom. i know i can't reverse the damage done, but what can i do to prevent the wrap from cracking so badly it falls off? right now they're in the living room which ranges 68-72 depending on sun and if we have a fire built. avoid drastic temp changes? i'd like to take these out tonight but it's going to be in the 30s. then back into a warm place. just want to see what others have to say about this. oh and the cracks aren't all the way through the wrap yet, it looks more like it's only on the top layer of the wrap

thanks in advance

I have heard that series of wraps haven't stood the test of time. XP8 shells, good. XP8 wraps, not good. They are players drums not museum pieces so re-wrap those bad boys in a wrap you always wanted. I would suggest a glass glitter in about any color. I re-wrapped a 9-72 tag kit in Drum Foundry Copper Pearl, they look like they are the hot coals in a campfire. Just beautiful and no cracks.
