Hi guys,

Just wondering what the general thoughts were among Slingerland collectors as to my Blue Radio King set.

Now, is this called :-

Blue Marine Pearl

or

Blue Diamond Pearl

As I have the Black Diamond and also White Marine to do a comparrison, the pattern is the same as the WMP. So I call it Blue Marine Pearl. And as far as I'm aware, it's an un-catalogued colour.

Any thoughts ?

Man is that sharp.

I think it was just called Marine blue pearl. Like I said. I think.

I'd call it Ice Blue. And gorgeous too.

Guys,

Thanks for your comments. I've had that set since 1999, I decided it was looking a little "shabby", so I've started cleaning the set this last week. Finished the snare, and 9x13, floor tom this week. Pics as soon as weather in the UK STOPS RAINING.

Honestly, the drums look even better that in this photo.

Should have mentioned, photo above by James Cumptsy care of Rhythm Magazine.

While I have seen several "blue tinted" Black Diamond Pearl sets, I think your set may be something different. Possibly an un-catalogued finish that never made it past the war. That's really a beautiful set, Dave. Wow!
