I just pulled the trigger on this kit based on the photo. It was a BIN so no time to research etc. what do you see? Looks like a Slingerland kit to me plus an interesting snare.

The snare looks to be sitting on a Slingerland stand, like the swirl on the 3-pc. I like, nice score.

Andrew, I hope you did not pay alot for the pile of junk drums..HA-Ha

What i see is a Slingerland set on the snare i see the muffler knob=S/L

On the bass drum T's and claws are S/L,i also see the round badge on the bass drum also..

The floor tom leg mounts are S/L you know the floor tom is up side down...

The snare for what i can see of the badge and lugs looks like a Ludwig or W.F.L. snare..

You know the best part about the set is you got one of if not the rarest S/L color P.O.Pearl...Mikey

It wasn't a lot of money Mikey but it is a long way away and pick up only. Still, the ad said "many sticks and cymbals and other drummers gear included in the sale" so maybe even more than in the photo. Could be a road trip on the cards. And i bought this Yamaha kit today as well. Incorrect FT but only $50 for the lot - a road trip in the other direction unfortunately.

Fayray, I think you landed a beauty. I try not to buy sight unseen but sometimes like in your case you have to "pull the trigger" and take the risk. The photos show some very nice vintage Slingys with as Mikey says very rare wrap. And the thought of other gear included just tops it off. Im happy for you and cant wait to see some better pictures. I love road trips to go pick up drums., Iwould be dreaming of "the other gear included" the whole way there. Please post some pics when you get them home sound and safe.

Very nice score. Congratulations. I would like to see it all itemized here so we can enjoy it together and maybe identify it better. I am curious about several of the pieces in the picture.

Morning Andrew,

Well I certainly hope that this "long way away" road trip isn't bringing you to Christchurch?

If I have missed that Trade Me Buy Now in my own back yard I will be soooooo angry at myself. Ha ha

Just jokes man. Apart from being outrageously jealous im really happy for you.

That will be a keeper kit then huh?

FYI VDF Members Slingerland kits are probably the rarest US drums to find in NZ.

Vintage Ludwig, Rogers, Beverley, Premier come up sometimes but Slingerland is almost never.

Wicked score Andrew. Very very nice.
