What is this Slingerland Snare worth approximately? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

I recently bought a slingerland kit and this snare sort of matches it. The finish looks the same but the badge looks gold and black compared to my silver and black. The person selling it wants $200. It's a stretch for me, but if that's a fair price I'll try to see what I can do. I got the kit for $150. The seller said it was their father's 'student model' snare drum from high school in the mid sixties. Can anyone tell me what it is based on these bad pictures, and a fair price? If you're familiar with this drum, do they typically sound good? I love supraphonics for the record. Thanks everyone!

I was going to buy this drum a few days ago. But the seller is a flake, the bottom rim isn't slingerland it is missing the rim clips. the gromment has been messed with. student model slingerlands RK'S sound great but to many things to replace for his price.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

That's the sense I was getting from him too. So if this drum is in original condition, what's a fair price? I saw one in eBay about a week ago for $250. Is that reasonable? Thanks for the info about the Craigslist drum, I wouldn't have noticed all those things you pointed out.

I would not offer more than $100.00 if you have to replace the hoop and clips. I've seen them sell from anywhere between $100.00 and $275.00 depending on condition and finish color. I have this exact model on Ebay right now and it's currently bid at $179.00. They are nice sounding drums.

I'm sure it's a nice player, but like VM2K said, too many red flags. With that kind of unoriginality,100-130 max.It looks to be refinished also, which would account for the tampered with grommet/badge,which was removed for refinishing.Just my 2 cents.
