What is this thing? Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hey guys, I've had this thing in my possession for some time now and I've really no idea what it could be. I've clamped it to my drum throne and use it as a handle to carry the throne, but surely that's not what it's for. This has me stumped! Does anybody know what this thing is?!

Thanks in advance!

mainly, its a bumper for congas. sometimes they come built in to the stand or as add ons.

versions of it may also come on a stand made for spacific types of djembes, weird shaped congas (like the cone shaped pearls) etc...

Thanks so much and thanks to everyone who weighed in. I had a feeling it percussion related, but I think I'll continue to use it as a handle for my drum throne. :)
