Sorry for the smallish picture.

Never seen a snare like this, with what appears to be at least 12 lugs. Any help would be appreciated, with my hunt to find the rare and unusual.

Thanks

jim

I'd take advantage of their invite to email them for more information.

Ask for lots of pics, inside and out.

For their asking price, they should be willing to do that.

Otherwise, passadena.

I don't think the "Colliseum" snares were that rare. That price is typical retail. It is sort of beat up.

Also, the Coliseums are maple.

They're very good sounding drums IMO, and no doubt one of my favorites... the price is fairly typical and it does have a die cast rim (batter) too. The previous advice is sound; get plenty of pics to evalute the condition of the shell.

Ok, as per usual, the morons at GC have it all wrong. That IS a Coliseum snare, 12 lugs, 8x14, yadda-yadda-yadda (yes I just yadda yadda yadda'd it! LOL!) but it is NOT an Oak finish....that's either a mahogany stain, or a cherry stain finish (hard to tell from the lousy picture). And the shell IS maple.

Probably early 80's and not worth anywhere near what they are asking (as per usual).

if its all original and unmolested, i dont think 299 is far from the mark on price.
