What is/are the world's most valuable drum(s)? Last viewed: 11 minutes ago

I was just curious to ask if anyone knows which drum or drums out there pulled the highest price paid in the collectible drum market.

Some of you probably remember the Gretsch Cadillac Green Birdland kit with the gold-plated hardware and original old K cymbals, etc. that was uncovered in some little old lady's attic a few years ago. I think it sold for a price of $15K and remember that people thought that was a low price. As "low" as that price was, it's the most I have ever seen paid for collectible drums.

I think Carl Palmer or someone has one of the original Billy Gladstone drum kits. I can't imagine what that one cost!Eye Ball

Some snare drums, alone, sell for thousands and thousands, too.

Maybe I should separate "individual drum" and "drum set" -My guess would be that a Billy Gladstone drum OR kit are probably the most valuable. Dang! Drums like those should be in a museum somewhere so that all drummers could at least see them. I wonder if anyone who owns those drums ever records with them or even taps on them...flowers2

I agree its the Gladstone snare. He only made 50 from my understanding and they are all spoken for.I feel so honored to have Arnie Lang use that hardware on my shells.Im keeping a couple for sure, but i dont think they will get up to 28k for a drum......but you never knowWalking
