That's a USA Custom snare. Gretsch brought back the stop sign badge for the USA line (with that slogan) a while back before switching back to the round badge a couple years back. The Renowns do not get the silver/gray serial sticker inside. My guess is it's a USA Custom from circa 2008-2012 which originally had either a Nickelworks throw or a Lightning (those were the only two choices) which somebody replaced.Gretsch did do a series of Customs with that badge around that time in Gloss walnut stain (like this drum). That SSB was exclusive to those sets at first but eventually they put them on all the USA Customs.I believe that is Ron's logo on the bottom of the throw (a logo which does resemble Yamaha's). If so that would be a direct bolt on replacement for the Nickel so there wouldn't necessarily be any extra holes if this drum had the Nickel originally.
Agree ,the Nickelworks (Gretsch used them in the early 2000+) was a POS with the plastic throw latch and was easily busted(I have a new classic that I replaced the Nickel throw with a Dunnett with that same issue).
That is a Dunnett OEM strainer.
It has a sliding bolting system that allows for adjustments for pre drilled holes.
