Thanks for posting this, because it helped answer one of my questions. The original parallel strainer is called the KG. It looks like Tama made the early 1980's Rogers R-380 ten lug steel snare. It has the exact same KG style strainer and uses the same wires.

I did buy it. Got it for $40 cad. Has Ludwig p85 throw, and ludwig butt. Certainly needs some TLC, but everything else is there, and solid. I searched through the Tama catalogs, and I believe this to be a 74 KingBeat.
