What kind of Vintage Sonor Kit is this?? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

I received this Sonor kit from my parents about 15 years ago. It does not have any serial numbers or verification numbers on it anywhere. It just has the sonor logo on all of the drums with the old school lugnuts where it looks like a screwdriver can tighten or loosen the drum head. Please help me identify this drum kit!!

Thanks!!

Looks like an early 60s teardrop. Named for the lugs. Should have thin 3 ply beech shells with re rings. Great drums.

Sweet! Any idea what a kit like this is worth?? The finish isn't perfect, little scratches here and there. The bass drum also has a built in wooden dampening tool that sits against the skin of the bass drum and it goes from the top to bottom of the skin, which can be adjusted. Looks rather interesting.

Thanks for the reply!!

I'd say somewhere between $500 and $750. The absence of the Snare drum plays against the value. Cool mustard swirl!
