What Ludwig snare do I have here? Last viewed: 3 hours ago

14 x 5 shell. 8 lugs. Looks like 3 plys to me -- but that's why I'm posting. Original badge, which was beat to sh*t, had 30511117.

The guy who listed it said he had done nine bazillion re-wraps...but the one went a little afoul.

So - pics attached, info appreciated. I'm not sure what the destiny of the snare is, but it does have a nice sound!

Thanks!

This definitely is not a Ludwig shell. also the badge is a reproduction badge. sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Did you buy it local?

I know it's a reproduction badge because I put it on there. Other than that it's a write-off. I bought it quite a while ago and an just now getting around to 'what to do with it" syndrome.

The bearer of bad news is often the bearer of truth...nothing to apologize for.

Thanks!

Ah, well. It's really good to know, so I don't pass it off as something other than that.

And it does sound pretty good. I think it'd be a good donation to a young student or something. It is for sure a step up from the snares that come with a lot of entry level kits...

A local, 'cuz I don't want to pay shipping. Hey, buck's a buck!

Thanks, folks!
