He started asking 3,000.00 for the whole set,But then he said that he's been checking with a few music store's one offered him 7,000.00 i ask him who offered that he told me,{{i know the guy very well been friend's with him for 20 year's so i give him a call and he said No one showed him a set of gretsch glanstone's he would have offered 10,000.00 for the set on the spot}}.. but he wanted to see if i would match it i said Yes,then he said he wanted alittle more than that offer,i just stoped at that point..I told him that i would go too 7.500.00 for the set that was it..But i wanted better photo's of all the drum's inside, out- side photo's of the shell's close-up's ete the one photo he sent me is not that good..he said he would try to get better photo's to me but i have not got them.So ia'm thinking this thing has been a big joke from the start..Mikey

Maybe the drive wasn't such a bad idea. Cash in hand, you could possibly do a deal and you would be able to observe them in person. Generally the more you draw it out and ask for the seller to provide details, rather than getting them yourself by observation, the more likely seller will become wise. $7500 is still an incredible price for the holy grail Cadillac Green Gretsch set. That's known as the Birdland kit, I believe.
