I just purchase these drums. If I let myself go by the numbers (if I only use the 1st six numbers) then this will be a vintage ludwig set. But the serial number has 7 numbers and it reads that it was made in Monroe, NC. I just also learned that Ludwig company moved to Monroe in the 80's so my drums are not vintage built in 66.
Can anyone confirm this and give me more details about the drums??

Dude, that looks like a cherry condition set of Ludwig Classic Maple drums! (If what I see through the vent hole in the photo is maple.) They go for about $1600/$1700. on fleabay. If you paid less than that, you did real good. Look inside... if it's clear maple, you scored a great set of drums.
Excellent drum kit, classic Ludwig sound. Enjoy them. More pix when you have them all set up.
