Vintage drum sets have to be mint/spotless to get the best dollar if and when they ever come up for sale. Agreed??.......Vintage cymbals are almost deemed worthless if the years of booze,ciggys,funk of any kind is removed and the pie is clean. Agreed??Violin

"mint/spotless" is not possible if you stick to the meaning of mint (unopened, in the original box, never hit etc.)....but you will find great examples of vintage drums that are like time capsules all the way to thrashed...the better the condition, the better the price in most cases but the rarity of the drum comes into play at times too.

I'm not up on vintage cymbals but your statement seems true and logical.
