What to do about small crack in seam of Sound King? Last viewed: 6 hours ago

Loading...

I've noticed a couple of Sound Kings for sale that have small cracks or splits at the seam. Is there anything that can be done, or is that a snare I should pass on?

Thanks very much.

Here's the best I could get, did some photoshopping to clear it up. I couldn't increase the size, but did improve the contrast. To me, it looks like a small crack in the seam on the inside of the bearing edge lip, which I am not sure would have any impact on performance or head seating. I am really a novice when it comes to things like this, so I need an opinion "the Guru":

Thanks very much!

I posted a picture of the crack! Can someone give me their opinion of whether a crack in the inside of bearing edge lip will affect the sound quality of the snare?

Thanks!

Clicking the attached picture does not bring it up. Can you list it again?

Thanks for trying, but I passed on it. After checking a second time, it looked like the crack was on the outside of the bearing edge...figure I'll just be patient and see what else comes along.

Again, thanks for helping out.
