What type of Snare stand do I have? Value? Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Loading...

I picked this snare stand up recently with my 1968 Ludwig Oyster Black Pearl kit. But, I have no idea of the brand. It has a lever that allows you to tighten up the basket by raising the lever.

Any idea of the age and value?

I am purging some extra hardware and just don't have a need for it.

Thanks.

It looks likes a Ludwig atlas got funky with an mij and made some bidness. No idea what that is. Are those atlas feet tips at the snare basket? If it is dead weight to you just put a $20 tag on Clist or ebay.

That is funny.

I have no idea what it is. I thought the basket tips looked like rubber feet as well. Creative idea if they are.

The quick disconnect lever is kind of similar in concept to older Sonor stands. I'd say it's either European 60s or 70s or a Japanese knock off.

it's a Slingerland "Quick release" stand. Ive seen them refered as "Super grip/Quick release" "Rocket/Quick release"...I just know them as "Quick release"...The little handle on the cage allows just that...a "Quick release"Yes Sir...Value? Looks in good shape...$35-$55 depends on how fast you want to sell it.

Thanks for the scoop Vintage Drum Bug. The Quick Release name certainly makes sense.

The "bend" in the stand legs had me clueless as well. I have never owned any Slingerland stands. Is the bend common to the design in their stuff?

Thanks.

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..
