This week (Mon the 25) I bought a 12x15 WFL FT on ebay. The delivery expected said the 26-29. Its coming from California. Im in MI. Ive been like a child waiting for x-mas waiting for this drum. Today came and no package. I emailed the seller to ask about a tracking number. Just got this response:

"Sorry I got called out of town un-expectedly for work, I will be shipping today, and you should have it soon.

Sorry for the Delay."

SUPER BUMMED!!!

This seller has 100% feedback so I felt really good about this when buying.

What would you do?

Maybe that's just me.....but I would believe him all the way and also remember the golden rule - that which happened to him this week could happen to you, then how would you want your buyer to treat/think about you? Perhaps he did not have a box.....you know how that can catch you off-guard when you usually run with the paradigm that something you have will work - then the only 18 boxes you have don't work. Then you have to work a box-fetching into your already busy schedule.......a million things could have set him back - including that job thing (out of town). There is a reason he has a 100%FB.

Then there's that 'good things come to those that wait' principle. You certainly will be diggin' it when it arrives.

John, also in MI.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Yes give it a little time. I grew up during the 60's and remember waiting MONTHS to get bike parts, knives and other mail order goodies. :) So to me a few weeks isn't a big deal. Worth the wait~!

From date of sale do not let more than 30 days pass before filing a pay pal/ebay non delivery of goods claim. Do that in the 4th week from sale, but not over 30 days. If you haven't received it by then, you are going to have issues getting it. Up to that time frame give your seller the benefit of the doubt. Stuff happens, and I well know the upheavals of work scheduling.

Report him to the IRS as a tax cheat... order two dozen pizza's with everything on them and have them delivered to his house at 2 am... place a flaming bag of poop on his doorstep and ring the bell... just kidding of course. Hang in there, if the guy has a 100% feedback rating, he'll want to maintain that. You'll get your new drum.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Yes, life happens and sometimes means we need to wait for out "stuff". I also grew up in the 60's and waiting for things to come in the mail was just part of life. With 100% feedback, I feel confident that the seller will come through.

Now, on the flip side, I see no reason that the seller couldn't have found time to send a quick email to let you know what happened. Customer service and communications is the cornerstone of all good business dealings. This is my whole issue with Andy Foote, of Drummaker.com!
