Hello Forum,

I picked up this WFL 14x10 Field snare at a thrift store for $15.00 a few years ago. Can anyone please tell me it's year and worth?

Thank you

I believe that badge puts it between late '40s and early '50s. Its value is what someone is willing to pay for it. There are guys who buy those 10x14 shells just to cut them down to a 5x14, but put a Fiberskyn batter on that with gut snares and you'd have one thunderous snare.

That's a neat old vintage drum that's in good shape. I hope you don't cut it up. Please keep it original or sell it to someone who will!

+1 on this.

I don't know why these drums are not worth more.

I guess the collectors just don't care for them.

I am new to collector drums but I think they are neat.
