What year is my kit? Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Loading...

About a decade ago as a wee teenager I inherited a Ludwig drum set (toms and bass drum) from my neighbor who moved down South from New England. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out the year/name/whatever of my kit. It has an imprinted model-looking number on each drum: 6043846

I couldn't find anything on google using that model number. Can anybody steer me in the right direction?

We need to see some pics, close ups of the badge, drum interior, tom mount and complete kit pics.I`m not a Ludwig expert but the guys on here who are will need to see those pics to make an evaluation of your set.

Welcome!

There are many different characteristics of the drum that can help determine the information you are looking for... pictures really... really help.

If pictures aren't practical for you..

First question is how do you know the drums are Ludwigs? Badges on the drums, brand name on the drum heads... where do they say Ludwig?

If they have badges... describe those badges in detail.

Describe the interior finish and the exterior finish.

Describe the hardware on the drums.. are there levers or knobs on the tone controls? Do the lugs span the width of the drum, do the resemble "bow ties" or are they center seamed rectangles...?

Gives what you know and you'll most likely get a good answer. Yes Sir

Not a Guru... just interested..
