The purple color is before fading. The flakes fade to gold and silver when faded.

I recently sold this great set of Slingies. The lavender flecks were strong in color, and tended to give a purplish hint to the jet black wrap. I have never had remorse over letting go of drums that I have really liked. I have some regret about not keeping this one, but not really remorse because a member of another drum forum where I participate bought it, and loves it. He may come here, too.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Trippy. It's kind of like the black sparkle New Classic kits if you've seen; there's a purple hue to them. But, these Slings are of course way cooler! Picked up a 12/14/20 set and they sing; incredible in the upper register. I'll need to move them but they're great tubs.
