I THINK I remember seeing someone post pics of their Citrus Mod kits years ago on another forum, but maybe it was just a photo from a catalog or something(?). Anyway, I know it's ultra rare....but any sense of HOW ultra rare it is -as in, how many sets have been "reported" ?

Thanks, Vinnie. No, I'm just curious to see some pictures of a nice example of this finish on an original set. But, thanks all the same!

Hi all! Yep, Citrus Mod kits are rare! I do know that Todd Trent, owner of Ontario Music (the store will be closing the end of this month), has a kit. I've seen it! Other than that, I've download thousands of eBay pictures over the years of vintage drums, mostly Gretsch, Ludwig, Rogers and Slingerland. In all that time, I've only seen one Citrus Mod Hollywood kit and two Jazz Festival snare drums. One of those snare drums was actually a re-wrap, using original Ludwig Citrus Mod, with the help of Jack Lawton. The other snare was one of those originally wrapped in Black Panther! I should be able to post some pictures.
