Why did this sell for 1400 bucks? Last viewed: 7 hours ago

The only sense that I can make out of this sale is that the buyer thought he was getting the whole set... Yes, the description clearly states that this listing is for one drum only, but they sure included a LOT of pictures of a big, double-bass set to sell the one drum...

This particular seller doesn't have a good reputation with members of this forum...

Yeah I have seen a lot of posts about her here. Its sad that she takes apart decent things and parts them out like that. Ill admit I part out slingerland COS snares...but radio king? Heck no.

Her facebook says shes a music broker, so maybe she doesn't own the things shes selling?

And I also noticed that her recent sales are to ebayers who have been inactive for months, then wham! They drop a few hundred dollars on items worth only a couple bucks. I wonder if there is any benefit to buying your own things on the bay?

They could use that as "evidence" that the drum is worth that much and try to pull one on someone who doesn't know better.

That was tricky to throw a bunch of pictures of a complete drum set in there.

i'm not on ebay as much as i used to be, but i seen that auction before while they were also running a auction for the whole kit. and i could of swore that both kicks have been posted seperately.

side note:

i've read all the complaints on the forums about this person. if this person is padding their own feedback by having multiple ebay accounts (see previous post in ths section of the forum) that they use to bid on their own auctions, why hasn't anyone reported them to ebay? isn't this against policy?

I am pretty certain that this drum has been put up for bid multiple times. Either they bid themselves of someone is living a John Bonham COW dream though I don't believe Bonham ever played COW.

Yea, almost makes you wonder if they are just trying to "up" their market by having someone they know on another account "buy" the item, then just refund their money. dunno... just a theory

If you have not already, check out RogerSling's post:

Pretty well defines what Pooder and others of that ilk are doing.
