I really don't get this. I got two of these in the same condition for $100., yes 50. each. I know that was an unusual deal but normally they go for 90 to 100 bucks for one. The sticker is a repro and it wasn't one person bidding it up, there were 9 bidders. Crazy! http://www.ebay.com/itm/310878068891?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Why?? Rogers swan leg stand. Last viewed: 21 hours ago
And to think I only got $500 more than what that one stand sold for for my beautiful '69 20/16/13 WMP Slingerland kit. Still hurtin' over that one.

Apparently after talking to a few guys, the guy that sold this has a stellar reputation for museum quality vintage parts. A lot of repeat customers. Good for himClapping Happy2

I'm sorry, no way I would have paid close to three hundred dollars for a cymbal stand... even if it had Joseph Rogers DNA on it! $280 for a swan leg stand... crazy!
Yes, 'good for him!' REAL good!

Early today, I did an eBay search for "swivomatic" and then checked "sold" items. I couldn't believe the prices for hi hat, cymbal and snare stands! Given these prices, the stands for my Headliner kit, which are in excellent condition, could fetch as much as the drums themselves! LOL!
Come to think of it, I sold a complete Swivo hardware set some years back, consisting of 2 Swivo cymbal stands, Swivo hi hat, Swivo BD pedal and a Sta-Tite snare stand. The entire package sold for $700!
So, it would seem there's still good money in Swivo hardware!

There were fewer of this hardware made compared to drum production that survived, thus demand... and Rogers swan leg stands are obviously doing very well in the current market.Power to them as they`re wonderful vintage stands.

No seller has a reputation that would make me pay a lot more for something.
I would not pay a lot more for a drum set because a particular retail store had a "stellar reputation".
