According to Ploughman's Big R dating guide, D7xxxxx serial number on the drum shown would date it to 1977.

Ok, so that means that this kit has 5ply shells with rerings and grey speckled interior, as far as i know?
I would love to buy it but i want it to have the rerings, and i want to be sure before i ask the seller!

Number not always totally accurate. Grey interiors 1976-79, If they happen to have clear interiors, then XP8 series, 1979-1983. Either will be worth your time.

They will be five ply with reinforcing rings, early to mid 1977. Make sure the wrap isn't cracked. Nice color.... my favorite.
