I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful New Year's Eve! Thought I'd provide this link to a mega-rare WMP Dynasonic on Ebay. Will it sell?!!!

It is a little too clean.

Looks very real, but way over cleaned.

Whatever a collector is willing to spend. I would expect to pay a premium because of the rarity of the size, and also the immaculate condition and desirable WMP. I think in the current market, 1.5 to 2k for one in typical size, with a 1k premium for the extra depth, so I would think that around 3K would be about right.

I'd be interesting in hearing from any of you that have both a 6.5 and a 5.0 model. Any significant difference in the sound of those two drums?

I have a jet black 5.0 and a COB 5.0 and it is very clear that these sound different than their Powertone cousins. But I've never had access to a 6.5 in either shell configuration and can only assume it has a bit lower pitch.

Shouldn`t that vent grommet extend through the shell and be peened over against the interior wall?
