Would anyone notice? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

My quest for a decent set of old Tama snare lugs is not going as well as I'd hoped. Still don't have any.

I notice that Rogers Dynasonic snare lugs are really close. The only difference I notice is that the Tamas are 6 sided where the Rogers are 4 around the base.

So would anyone notice if I put them on a snare? The shell is an old Imperialstar concert tom I've cut down. I want it to match my set of Imperialstars, but the lugs are all that's holding me back. I have a set of tube lugs, but it just doesn't seem right.

Thoughts? Are a set of ten Rogers snare lugs that hard to come by as well? Eye Ball

I would wager the Rogers lugs are more expensive, yet easier to come by (as people are dismantling more Rogers drums to sell for parts). But I am merely guessing here...

Defer to the experts...

Only matters what you think. Doubt anyone would care if you put a different lug on each tension rod. What you need to check first is the lug mount hole spacing to see if the Rogers lugs actually fit.

I haven't drilled the shell yet, so the hole spacing isn't a factor...

So what are Rogers snare lugs going for anyway?

I would hold off on drilling for lugs that are not the ones you really want. You know as soon as you do, you will find the Tama lugs that you are looking for. I would keep searching for the right lugs, it's only a matter of time. Good Luck with your search. I'll keep an eye out also.

Do you have a pic of the Lug your looking for?

I found this snare on eBay for not a bad starting price. Buy the snare, use the lugs and sell the rims, etc... Pics are not that good but looks like it might be 10 lug drum. check it out.
