Could be but Apollo has that oval shape badge also. THe blue ones look to have Majestic badges.

Looks like this one
If you end up getting the drums, this bass drum might have the parts you need.
Thank you!

I would say for $100 - yeah, that would be worth every penny. I just restored one of these a couple months back and it turned out to look and sound amazing! These are more collectible as these Majestics are about the only stencil kits with offset lugs. That would be the thicker shell (6 or 9 ply) with the gray painted interiors.
That FT can be a donor (possibly) or you can sell it (part it out?) and use it to fund any parts you need to buy to finish off that Majestic.....especially if it is a Slinger.

Great thoughts, all of you. I wasn't able to see the drums tonight - the guy canceled - but promise to keep you posted. I'm willing to drop $100 and see how things shake out. You'll hold my hand through restoration, right? :)

You will need both hands for the restoration :-) Any questions just ask.
I'd go $100 all day if you want to learn. You have an endorsement that the Majestic sound great so it's worth the effort. Will be a nice looking kit when done. Be sure and ask if there is another box of parts somewhere. Ya never know.
Tried putting the pic into PhotoShop but when zooming in it pixelates right at the critical level :-( The lugs look a little wide for a Slingy. Can't tell one way or another.
Good Luck!!

If you're a big fan of the wrap, (and it's all salvageable) then I'd consider it, though the price is high. Will take time and $ to complete - have done many of these old stencil kits myself, and finding all parts can be tricky and costly. Don't expect something comparable to a vintage, high-end kit either - they can sound good, but they are still cheap imitations. If it's a labor of love, and you intend to keep them to play yourself, then I'd suggest trying to talk the vendor down a bit, but if you're looking for a sound investment, I'd suggest you wait for a more complete kit. Finding the matching, inlayed, wood hoop could be a challenge unto itself. My :2Cents:

You bet! We will help anyway we can. Be sure to look the edges over good, missing hoops could = damaged edge. And remind the seller that the missing parts are going to be expensive. Good luck!
Thank you!

That odd floor tom is a Star oval-badge of some kind-Ideal,Tempo etc.$100 is all the money, but stagger lugged drums are pretty rare, whether the Majestic or Apollo "teardrop"lug type.Good choice for a resto if you want something unique.
Yup, could be a sweet kit! Be sure to check the wrap though... if it's badly worn / torn you can still make a decent kit by either parting it out or, if the wrap is bad on all the drums, stripping it and starting over. Bad wrap price would be around $25.00 to $30.00. Good wrap price $50.00 to $75.00.
Parts aren't cheap, but they aren't killer expensive.
Help you with the restoration? Shoot, that's what we do! lol
Pleased to meet you!
Great! let us know how it goes. Wish I was going to look at a kit tonight.
Laughing H Jeff you crack me up!! You must be itching for a new project kit. I'm sure you'll find one soon my friend. You work fast too. I think you've totally wrapped and restored 2-3 kits in the time it takes me to clean one..... and I'm still working on it too. Bowing
LOL...
